Dr. Usha Rao

Dr. Usha Rao completed her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from the Indian Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine and Research, Bengaluru, in 2019, and earned her MD in Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana from Sri Sri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research, Bengaluru, in 2025.

She believes that every individual is unique, and so is their path to good health. She takes a patient-centred approach, combining the principles of Ayurveda with practical lifestyle guidance, nutrition, and holistic wellness practices to create personalised treatment plans. She administers Panchakarma therapies as part of personalised treatment plans.

Over the years, she has helped patients manage a wide range of chronic and lifestyle-related health conditions, including anxiety, stress, depression, PCOS, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Parkinson's disease, and other complex health concerns. Her goal is to address the root cause of illness while helping patients achieve long-term health and overall well-being.

She has treated patients with musculoskeletal disorders, anxiety, stress, depression, Parkinson's disease, cancer, and other chronic conditions using an integrative approach that combines Ayurveda with medicinal hemp where clinically appropriate.

She has developed personalised diet plans, lifestyle recommendations, and holistic wellness strategies to improve treatment outcomes and support long-term health. She has also performed leech therapy (Jalaukavacharana) for appropriate clinical conditions.

Alongside her clinical practice, Dr. Usha is a medical content writer, creating accurate, easy-to-understand health content that helps people make informed decisions about their well-being. She contributed to research and content development for the Amazon bestselling books The Blockbuster Health — Volume 1 & Volume 2.
